I'm helping at the inn again this summer, so that means website building! Last year I threw together a quicky-website using a WordPress template since everything was so last minute and I didn't have time to learn to build what my friend wanted, but this year I'm working on a code-from-scratch website for her.

(Plus the WordPress is all glitched and the index page won't load the images. So I want to get it down as quickly as possible.)

This is still last minute ... I should have started two months ago if I had known instead of last month, but with the old one up there's at least something for people to visit. {/fidgets nervously} She also has a Facebook page that she's always posting updates on.

This year she has me sticking my hands in a little marketing because I'm trying to arrange having the inn added to online directories and her monthly events added to local and online calendars. I'm so grateful of her giving me this opportunity ^_^

On a personal life note:
"Fare Thee Well" June! You were a good month. If only there could have been one more Saturday night.
Also, GPS apps use a lot of data >.>

I bought a one year subscription to DA, so there's my incentive to get stuff updated. I'm going to use my account as my portfolio rather than build myself a website for the moment. I started working on a practice project yesterday ... while reading comments under a tutorial video I found out about a website called jsfiddle.net and started using that to practice my JavaScript and jQuery on ... the downside of using server side coding is that it doesn't work unless its on a server. Woot! for J.S. Fiddle! 

I also have my office laid out, and at least half the stuff unpacked. I hooked my computer tower to my living room TV (since I really only use it to play Sims ...) and am setting up my computer desk as a writing desk. The tray that rolls out to put the tower on now houses my filing box. I think I might be able to fit another one on there, so can keep personal and business files separate.

I'm still looking for help with my JavaScript slider code. If you would be so inclines, I'd appreciate any and all help. I'm going to mess with it some more today; I didn't have time yesterday. I posted a thread in the forums here: forum.deviantart.com/technolog…

Today's project is my office. I have ideas saved on Pinterest that I'm going to go through. I want to get a sewing machine but at the moment I'm not sure where to put it because that table is going to be my crafting table ...

I think I just figured out the sewing machine / crafting table question! Woot for having extra drop tables and un-needed doors!

PS: It's amusing when my boyfriend and I listen to different music in the same room. Aren't phones fun? lol

I feel stuck. My skills are lacking on so many fronts, and yet I've been learning about websites since I was 16 ... things have changed so much and my mind is stuck in the 2008. With the new season and warmer weather my mood has been picking up more. I've started watching YouTube videos, and have learned about other websites to check out that are free. With my new abode I have an actual office, rather than using my living room like I was in my last apartment.

When I look at this profile I want to take everything down and pack it away, like one does when they redecorate their bedroom.

This place is on my list of things to do. Eventually. I'm sorry to anyone who's following me, you've probably become bored long ago with my lack of updates.

Just went through my gallery and moved everything to folder titled "Pre-Graduation", aka: everything made before I graduated college, including high school stuff. I left a few writings and photo-manipulations in the main view but all the folders have been emptied and deleted. Step #1: Complete!
